ICICI Lombard, one of India's largest private sector general insurers, has clarified that using E20 fuel in older vehicles does not affect the validity of motor insurance policies and is not considered negligence. The insurer has stated that claim admissibility depends on whether the loss arises from an insured event, such as a vehicle accident or theft, rather than the type of fuel used in the vehicle.
