India has achieved a milestone in agricultural exports with the first commercial sea shipment of premium Banganapalle mangoes reaching Singapore. The shipment, which consisted of five metric tonnes of mangoes, was facilitated by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority and travelled from India to Singapore in thirteen days. This successful delivery has opened up a cost-effective and sustainable route for exporting Indian mangoes, and has also resulted in higher earnings for growers, with the export consignment selling for nearly double the domestic market price.
